Ultimo aggiornamento: 8 ottobre 2026
In breve
Contratto.
- I tuoi dati.
Dai log teniamo fuori indirizzi IP, indirizzi email, importi, esercenti, note e ricerche.
- Assistenza. Contratto o legittimo interesse a risponderti.
Chi riceve i dati
Trasferimenti fuori dall'Unione europea
- Log tecnici: 30 giorni.
- Email presso Resend: 30 giorni.
I tuoi diritti
Puoi:
- avere una copia dei tuoi dati e portarla altrove (accesso e portabilità): nell'app Altro › Account › Scarica i miei dati, sul sito Il mio account › Scarica i miei dati. Ricevi un file ZIP con file CSV e JSON;
- correggerli (rettifica): modifica i tuoi dati e la password nell'app o sul sito, il nome utente e la lingua nell'app; per cambiare l'indirizzo email scrivici;
- cancellarli (cancellazione): nell'app Altro › Account › Elimina il mio account, sul sito Il mio account › Elimina il mio account;
- chiederci di limitare il trattamento o opporti a quello basato sul nostro legittimo interesse;
- revocare il consenso alle statistiche di pecuniae.app in qualsiasi momento, da "Impostazioni cookie" in fondo alla pagina: smettiamo di misurare le tue visite e cancelliamo i cookie di Google Analytics dal tuo browser;
Sicurezza
- I collegamenti all'app e al sito usano HTTPS.
I diritti descritti sopra valgono ovunque tu viva.

Last updated: 8 October 2026
Pecuniae is developed by Dario George Perotto, trading as Pirumsoft ("we"), the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: [email protected].
This policy covers the Pecuniae iPhone app and the website pecuniae.pirumsoft.com, which share the same account and the same data. It also covers pecuniae.app, the page that presents Pecuniae and needs no account.
In short
- Your transactions and everything else you enter are stored on our server in the European Union, so you find them both in the app and on the website.
- No ads, no tracking, no analytics or third-party tools in the app or on the website pecuniae.pirumsoft.com. We don't sell your data.
- On the pecuniae.app page we measure visits with Google Analytics only if you accept, and you can change your mind at any time.
- You can download all your data and delete your account whenever you like, in the app, on the website or by writing to us.
- Our emails go out through Resend, which keeps their data in the United States.
What we handle and why
For each item we name the legal basis, from Article 6(1) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR): your consent (point a), performing our contract with you (point b) or legitimate interests (point f).
- Account. Email address, username, password (we keep only a one-way hash of it), language, ledger currency, time zone, sign-up date and whether your email address is confirmed. We use them to create your account, sign you in, work out today's date in your time zone and send you the service's emails. Contract.
- Sign in with Apple. If you use it, Apple gives us an identifier tied to your Apple Account and, the first time, the email address you choose to share (it can be a Hide My Email address) and your name. We use your name only to create your username (for example "mariorossi"), which you can change; we don't keep the name itself. We also keep a token Apple issues, only so that we can revoke your Apple sign-in when you delete your account. Contract.
- Your records. What you enter or import: transactions (date, payee or source, amount, category, notes), categories, budgets, rules and payee names, recurring payments you confirm or ignore, net-worth accounts and balances, shared expenses and reimbursements, monthly reviews with their notes and, for each CSV file you import, the file name, the number of rows and a fingerprint of its content that lets us warn you if you import it twice. Contract.
- Uploaded CSV files. The file stays on the server only while you check the preview: we delete it when you confirm the import or once it is more than an hour old, at the latest the following night. Contract.
- Signed-in devices. For each iPhone signed in: the name iOS gives apps (on current versions a generic one, such as "iPhone"), when it signed in, when it was last used and when it signed out. You find the list in the app and can sign devices out there. Contract; legitimate interest in account security.
- Plus subscription. If you buy Plus, the details of the App Store transactions Apple signs and sends us: product, store, expiry, renewal status and transaction identifiers. When you buy, the app passes Apple a random identifier of your Pecuniae account, so the purchase is linked to the right account. Contract.
- Shared household. If you pair with another person, the link between the two accounts. If you send an invitation by email, the invited person's address and the invitation code: we use that address only to send the invitation, and we do not keep it. Contract, for you; for the invited person, your and our legitimate interest in delivering the invitation you asked us to send.
- Security. To slow down password guessing and other abuse, the server counts recent attempts per username or email address and per IP address. These counts stay in memory for 15 minutes and are never written to disk. Legitimate interest in protecting accounts and the service.
- Technical logs. The server records what happens, such as "sign-in succeeded" or "email sent", with your account's internal number. We keep IP addresses, email addresses, amounts, payees, notes and searches out of the logs. Legitimate interest in running and protecting the service.
- Backups. Every night we copy the whole database, so we can restore the service after a failure. Legitimate interest in not losing data.
- Suspension. If we suspend your account under the terms of use: the date the suspension began and a short reason naming the term that was broken. Legitimate interest in enforcing our terms and protecting the service.
- Support. When you write to us: your email address and what you tell us. If you ask for a copy of your data while your account is suspended, we email it to you from our support mailbox, hosted by Google, and delete it from the mailbox once you confirm you have received it. Contract, or legitimate interest in answering you.
- pecuniae.app statistics. Only if you accept them, Google Analytics records how you use the page, for example which pages you open, where you came from, your type of device and browser and how long you stay, with a random identifier kept in a cookie that recognises your browser when you come back. Google Analytics uses your IP address only to work out an approximate location (country, region, city), and doesn't log or store it. We use these statistics only to know how many people visit the page and how they find it; we don't use them for advertising. If you decline, the page works just the same. Consent, which you can withdraw at any time under "Cookie settings" at the bottom of the page; withdrawing doesn't affect the lawfulness of the visits measured before.
To create an account you need an email address (or Sign in with Apple), a username and a password; without them we can't provide the service. What you record is up to you.
We make no decision about you based solely on automated processing that has legal or similarly significant effects. Category suggestions, recurring-payment detection, possible-duplicate warnings and the outlook are calculated from your own records to help you; the choices stay yours.
Who receives your data
- The other person in your shared household, only if you both decide to pair. Once paired, you see each other's username; while Plus is active, each of you also sees the other's records in the shared views, notes included. Neither of you can change the other's records or see the other's email address.
- Oracle (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) hosts our server in the European Union, on disks Oracle encrypts.
- Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc., United States) sends our emails: it receives the recipient's address and the message.
- Apple runs Sign in with Apple and App Store purchases as an independent controller, under its own privacy policy; for Europe the controller is Apple Distribution International Ltd., in Ireland. Our server contacts Apple only to check a sign-in, obtain the token described above and revoke it.
- Cloudflare runs the DNS of pirumsoft.com and pecuniae.app, serves these pages and the pecuniae.app page, and forwards the emails you send us. When you open these pages or pecuniae.app it processes your IP address and request details to deliver them; it forwards emails without keeping their content. Traffic between you and the Pecuniae server doesn't pass through Cloudflare.
- Google, which hosts the mailbox where your emails to us arrive and, if you accept pecuniae.app statistics, provides Google Analytics through Google Ireland Limited. How Google uses this data is explained in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
Oracle, Resend and Cloudflare process data on our behalf, under data processing agreements that oblige them to protect it and to use it only to provide their services to us: Oracle, Resend, Cloudflare.
Transfers outside the European Union
- Resend keeps email data (address, message and delivery log) in the United States, whichever region sends the email. Resend is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission found adequate on 10 July 2023; its data processing agreement also includes the EU standard contractual clauses.
- Oracle keeps our server's data in the EU. Its agreement allows it to access the data from other countries only when needed to provide its service, for example for support, incident handling or data recovery, under Oracle's binding corporate rules for processors and the EU standard contractual clauses (transfer annex).
- Cloudflare is certified under the Data Privacy Framework; should that lapse, its agreement falls back on the EU standard contractual clauses.
- Apple transfers data as its privacy policy describes, under standard contractual clauses.
- Google may process Google Analytics data in the United States and other countries. Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, on which Google relies for these transfers; Google's data processing terms also include the EU standard contractual clauses (Google's information on transfers).
How long we keep data
- Account and records: until you delete them or your account. When you delete your account, your data leaves our database at once, and we ask Apple to revoke the Sign in with Apple token we hold, if any.
- Backups: we keep the 30 most recent nightly copies, on the server and on one of our computers with an encrypted disk. Data you delete therefore leaves the backups as they are replaced, normally within about 30 days. We use a backup only to restore the service after a failure.
- Accounts whose email address is never confirmed: deleted 7 days after sign-up.
- Suspension: the date and the reason until the suspension is lifted or the account is deleted; they then leave the backups as these are replaced, normally within about 30 days. The notice we send you is kept like the emails you send us.
- Signed-in devices: a device stays signed in until you sign it out or it stays unused for 90 days; the record of a device goes 30 days after it is signed out or expires.
- Household invitations: the code expires after 7 days. The invitation stays until you replace or cancel it; once used, until one of the two accounts is deleted.
- Apple's subscription notifications: we keep a record of each one (Apple's identifiers, type and date) for 30 days to recognise repeats. When you delete your account, these records lose any link to you.
- Uploaded CSV files: at most until the night after the upload.
- Security counts: 15 minutes, in memory only.
- Technical logs: 30 days.
- Emails at Resend: 30 days.
- Emails you send us: up to 12 months after your request is closed.
- pecuniae.app statistics: Google Analytics keeps the data linked to your browser's identifier for up to 14 months. Summary reports, which count visits without identifiers, may stay longer. Google Analytics' cookies stay in your browser for the time given below.
Cookies and data on your device
The website pecuniae.pirumsoft.com uses only these cookies, to keep you signed in and remember your choices; no advertising or analytics cookies:
budget_session: keeps you signed in. Signed by our server and not readable by scripts. Lasts 30 days.pecuniae_locale: remembers the language you chose. Lasts until you close the browser.pecuniae_flash: shows a confirmation message once after a page change. Lasts 60 seconds.budget_apple_state: protects a Sign in with Apple on the website, only while it is in progress. Lasts 10 minutes.
The website also keeps its own scripts, styles and icons in your browser so that it loads faster; your records are not stored in the browser.
The pecuniae.app page sets no cookie unless you accept statistics. It remembers your choice in your browser:
pecuniae-consent: your choice about statistics (accepted or declined) and its date, kept in your browser's local storage (localStorage), not in a cookie, and never sent to us. We ask again after 6 months.
Only if you accept statistics, Google Analytics adds these analytics cookies, which we don't use for advertising:
_ga: tells one browser from another with a random identifier. Lasts 2 years._ga_RB3Q637B72: keeps the state of the current visit. Lasts 2 years.
If you don't come back to the page, some browsers remove them sooner: Safari after 7 days, Chrome after 400 days at the latest. If you decline under "Cookie settings", we delete them from your browser.
The iPhone app keeps only your sign-in token, in the iOS Keychain (on that iPhone only, not synced to iCloud), and the period you chose on the dashboard. Your records are not saved on the iPhone: the app reads them from the server when it needs them. When you download your data, the ZIP file is created in a temporary folder only to hand it to you, and deleted when you leave the screen.
Your rights
You can:
- get a copy of your data and take it elsewhere (access and portability): in the app More › Account › Download my data, on the website My account › Download my data. You get a ZIP file of CSV and JSON files;
- correct it (rectification): edit your records and password in the app or on the website, and your username and language in the app; to change your email address, write to us;
- delete it (erasure): in the app More › Account › Delete my account, on the website My account › Delete my account;
- ask us to restrict processing, or object to processing based on our legitimate interests;
- withdraw your consent to pecuniae.app statistics at any time, under "Cookie settings" at the bottom of the page: we stop measuring your visits and delete Google Analytics' cookies from your browser;
- lodge a complaint with the Italian Garante per la protezione dei dati personali or with the supervisory authority of the EU country where you live or work. In the United Kingdom you can turn to the Information Commissioner's Office; in Switzerland, to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
While your account is suspended you can't download your data or delete your account in the app or on the website: write to us, and we'll email you a copy or delete the account.
For anything else, write to [email protected]: we answer within one month.
Security
- Connections to the app and the website use HTTPS.
- Passwords are stored as Argon2id hashes and device tokens as SHA-256 hashes; links we email are signed and expire (24 hours to confirm an address, one hour to reset a password).
- Repeated sign-in attempts are slowed down.
- Only we can access the server; Oracle encrypts its disks, and the copies kept off the server are on an encrypted disk.
- The website pecuniae.pirumsoft.com loads no code from other sites; the pecuniae.app page loads Google Analytics' code only if you accept statistics.
Children
Pecuniae is not meant for anyone under 16. If you think a younger person has created an account, write to us and we will delete it.
If you live in the United States
We don't sell your personal information and don't share it for targeted advertising. The rights described above apply wherever you live.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with its date.
